- SOAP services were reengineered for better performance
and stability. The API remains the same, so migrating your existing applications
is easy—simply
update your Web Service Description Language (WSDL) locations by changing
v2006 to v2006_1 and .wsdl to ?wsdl, and start taking advantage of SOAP v2006.1. See the
Support Center for a complete list of updates and
known issues.
- The Map Viewer Showcase code
is now available for download in Apache Axis (Java).

- ArcWeb Explorer is a Web-based
map viewing application based on Adobe Flash. ArcWeb Explorer uses vector
mapping technology to render maps quickly in the browser. In addition
to mapping, use ArcWeb Explorer to generate reports and view thematic
maps.
- ArcWeb Explorer
JavaScript API is a new way for developers to get a working Web-based
mapping application up and running without spending a significant amount
of time developing code.
- Report Web Service demographic data has been updated
for 2006 and 2011. See ESRI Demographic Data for
more information.
